In designing these posters, I wanted to create a canvas primarily out of dark and desert-esque colors - red, brown, orange, etc - to evoke the visuals of Arrakis, the main setting of the first book. To contrast this and add visual interest to the posters, I used vibrant, saturated blues. This is a visual reference to Spice, an important good across the series, as well as encapsulating various elements of the book's setting and themes.
